Here is a selection of some of my favourite London based activities which children will love.
Go to the London Zoo
The London Zoo is located in Regent's Park, one of the most beautiful parks in the city. You can spend a day among tigers, penguins, giraffes, elephants and other exotic animals. It will certainly be a day out that they won't forget in a hurry!
Harry Potter Studios
Harry Potter fans will be spellbound by a trip to the Harry Potter Studios! A visit to the studios of Warner Bros will leave your children fascinated. You can tour the scenes of the movies, ride the Hogwarts Express and leave with a magician's diploma! If your kids love Harry Potter, this will be a dream come true for them. The London Zoo is located in Regent's Park, one of the most beautiful parks in the city. Meet a life-sized blue whale, a roaring T-Rex dinosaur and much, much more at the Natural History Museum! There is something for everyone and so much to explore and lean that they won't want to leave!
Sea Life Aquarium
Visit the fascinating Sea Life Aquarium and explore a varied and fascinating underwater world. Children will love the glass Ocean Tunnel and Shark Walk to name just a few of the exciting features.
Site-Seeing Bus Tours
One of the best ways of seeing all the different London landmarks is by booking a seat on an open-top bus! There are a range of different companies offering trips around the city and they are a great way to see some of the famous London sites!
London Eye
Children (and adults alike) will love a trip on the London Eye. Located along the Thames River, this iconic observation wheel offers unobstructed views from its glass pods. It offers a 30-minute ride where you'll be able to see London's well-known buildings like Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, and The Shard.Buckingham Palace
A trip to London wouldn't be complete without a trip to Buckingham Palace. Observe one of the regular Changing the Guard ceremonies and the famous balcony or book to observe the 19 majestic state rooms which are furnished with many treasures from the Royal Collection.
Madame Tussauds London
Children will love getting up close and personal with some of their favourite pop stars and celebrities at Madame Tussauds, London. There are over 150 lifelike wax figures of many well known individuals! Children will love having their photo next to their favourites.
Tower of London
These historic buildings make a great day out for kids. They can observe the Crown Jewels, walk around the battlements, see the Royal Armouries and much more. There is so much to see that you can make a whole day of it!
