New Skills
There are lots of cool activities that your child will be able to engage in at a holiday camp, like scavenger hunts and quests which are some to name a few. Whilst also being great fun, they give children the opportunity to learn new things and expand on their existing skill set.
Team Working Skills
Many of these activities will involve teamwork, so your child will learn to work alongside others.
Learning Loss
“Learning loss” is what we call a lack of mental stimulation which tends to happen when children are off school. With all of the adventures and activities that they will participate in, there’s little chance of this happening.
Independence
If it’s a residential holiday camp that your child’s off to, they will also have the opportunity to develop independence as they will be away from home and will need to learn to do things for themselves.
Memories
When all of it is over, they will have lots of interesting memories to look back on and share with their peers when back at school.
There are of course things that you will need to consider, like whether they will be okay away from home and ultimately the decision will be down to them. Overall, a holiday camp is a good idea and definitely worth looking into.
