Violife Vegan Cheese Review

In recent weeks I have started to limit dairy in my diet, opting for a more plant-based diet. I am already vegetarian and have recently switched to oat milk which I'm really enjoying. However, I've been really keen to find a cheese substitute so that I can potentially cut cheese out of my diet. And so I was delighted to be given the opportunity to try products from the Violife Vegan Cheese Range. This opportunity couldn't have come at a better time!

I was sent 5 different products from the Violife range but it's important to note that there are many more Violife products to sample and discover!

I received 5 products from Violife: Original flavour Grated, Smoky cheddar Flavour Slices, Original Flavour Slices, Epic Mature and Le Rond Camembert Flavour. I couldn't wait to try them.

So, what did I think?

Original flavour Slices

I found these to be creamy and tasty. They have a soft texture and are delicious melted onto the top of a veggie burger or placed in a wrap or sandwich! I'm definitely going to be adding these to my shopping list each week!

Original Flavour Grated

I love the versatility of the Original Grated Flavour pack. It is great to have on hand for adding grated cheese to meals such as baked potato, beans on toast, pizza or pasta for example. 

Epic Mature

I love mature cheese and always opt for this over mild tasting cheese; the stronger the better! This cheese didn't disappoint and I found it really moreish. My little boys really enjoyed this too and kept asking for more. This is another product I will definitely be adding to my shopping basket each week.

Smoky Cheddar Flavoured Slices

These slices have a smoky and delicious twist which is perfect for teaming up with crackers, for adding to your vegan cheese board or for your sandwich or pitta for example.

Le Rond Camembert Flavour

I was excited to discover this among my samples, I had no idea that a vegan version of Camembert cheese had been invented. It is really creamy and perfect for dipping chunks of fresh bread into. It comes with a little booklet of vegan recipes too. 

I really loved trying Violife cheeses. I hadn't expected to enjoy them quite as much after hearing many unfavourable reviews of vegan cheese from a couple of my friends who are vegan. I will certainly guiding them in the direction of Violife and I will definitely be buying it again!
