The Missing Moon, A Personalised Story From Clever Champs

Is there anything better than curling up with a good book? There's no limits on the adventures you can go on when you immerse yourself in books. Books can transport you back in time, can launch you into the future, fly you through the stars and have you home in time for tea! By introducing children to the joy of reading, you give them the gift of new and exciting worlds and enable them to journey on an array of spellbinding adventures!

I've been keen to introduce my little boys to the wonderful world of reading from an early age and so I've always endeavoured to provide them with access to books and to read regularly to them. Now my biggest boys can read, I try to encourage them to enjoy quiet time exploring their books too.

Recently I was thrilled to be introduced to Clever Champs. They make personalised stories where your children can actually feature in the story! Personalised books make a really unique and special gift that will be treasured by your little ones. Imagine their excitement at not only seeing their names in the book, but actually starring in the story too! We couldn't wait to explore the story together. 

When the book arrived, I didn't tell my boys what was inside the package as I wanted to see their reaction. The book was presented in a carboard sleeve decorated with planets and stars. What could be inside?!

When they opened the sleeve they were presented with the book which features an illustration of the moon and a cartoon style illustration of them both along with their names! They were very excited! 

My boys thought it was funny how the characters looked just like them. When personalising them book, I was able to select hair colour, hairstyle, eye colour and skin tone. My boys thought it was funny how one of them had scruffier hair than the other which is just how they are in real life too; one of my little boys always has his hair sticking up in all directions!

We then sat down to read the book together. It explores the story of how the moon goes missing and so the boys set off on an adventure to get it back. As they adventure through space, they meet different planets and even the sun. This encouraged them to ask lots of questions about the planets and the night sky. It was great that the book ignited their curiosity about space and out solar system.
