Are you a fan of playing online games? They can be a wonderful way of passing the time and can add some fun and excitement to your day. What's more, playing games can help you to unwind after a long day, promoting relaxation and enabling you to stay present in the current moment.
Online games can also serve to keep your mind active, can help develop problem solving skills and they can even be educational. When playing games myself, I love them to have a problem solving element and I like for any games that the children play to be somewhat educational.
Recently, I discovered Culinary Schools which has a collection of over 150 free online games. Culinary Schools is a website dedicated to providing information to those looking to start a career in the culinary industry. There is advice and guidance on cookery schools and courses as well as in depth information on the different types of culinary careers. The online games provided at Culinary Schools are focused around food, cooking, the culinary arts and restaurants. Whilst the games are promoted as being for children, they are also great fun for adults too. I have enjoyed exploring the different games on offer at Culinary Schools. Here are a couple of my favourite.
Open RestaurantThis game is from the perspective of the waiter/waitress. You are required to manage the restaurant by seating the customers, taking their orders, delivering the food to the table and taking payment, all the while, new customers are arriving. You need to meet the cash target for the day within a certain time before moving on to the next day. This game is fast paced and really made me realise how much restaurant staff have to juggle to help keep it running smoothly!
