Have you ever given much thought to the design of your
garden? Your garden can be a blank canvas in which you can create
a stunning and individual work of art. Perhaps you like your garden cosy, full
of wild flowers and abundant with colour? Or perhaps you prefer your garden to
be sleek with a minimalist and modern style? Or maybe your ideal garden would
be somewhere where you can relax and unwind after a long day? Whatever your
preferences, your garden is yours to input your preferences and personality into
it. It is an extension to your home, think of it as a whole other room
if you will, and so with a bit of love and care, it can be an area that you will
take much pride and pleasure in. So what current gardening trends are we seeing
in 2018? Well, there seems to have been a real shift from the aesthetical aspect
of our gardens, towards a focus on health and well-being, how our gardens make
us feel and what moods they inspire, for example. There has also been a focus
on the natural growth cycle of plants, enabling the garden to have an element
of free reign to ‘do it’s own thing’ and there has also been an emphasis on
supporting wildlife and nature to flourish within our gardens. This informative
guide from Rattan Direct entitled Garden Design Trends You Can Expect to See in 2018 ,provides a comprehensive outline of just what styles we can expect to
see in the coming year.

My plan for my garden this year is to plant more be friendly plants and flowers. It's important that we protect our bees (although I still have to research which plants will help the most!).
